Ingredients (makes 24 — double for a larger gathering):

  • 1 can crescent rolls
  • 1 package little smokies
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp yellow mustard (for piping football laces)

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Roll out crescent roll triangles, cut into smaller triangles, and wrap each smokie.
  3. Line a baking sheet with parchment and place wrapped smokies on top.
  4. Whisk egg + Dijon mustard and brush over each.
  5. Bake 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Transfer to platter and pipe football laces with yellow mustard.

High Protein Smashed Potato Pizza Bites with Hot Honey

These smashed potato pizza bites are crispy, cheesy, gluten-free, and packed with protein thanks to cottage cheese + mozzarella. I finish them with parmesan, basil, and an optional drizzle of hot honey (skip for the kids). They’re fun, bite-sized, and disappear fast — truly a perfect Super Bowl snack.

Ingredients:

  • Baby potatoes (small gold or red work best)
  • Olive oil
  • Salt + pepper
  • Marinara sauce
  • Cottage cheese (for protein)
  • Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Turkey pepperoni, quartered
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh basil
  • Hot honey (optional)

Directions:

  1. Microwave baby potatoes ~4 minutes until tender.
  2. Smash into discs on a parchment-lined sheet pan using the back of a glass.
  3. Drizzle with olive oil, season with salt + pepper, flip to coat both sides.
  4. Broil ~4 minutes until beginning to crisp, then flip.
  5. Top with marinara, a dollop of cottage cheese, shredded mozzarella, and quartered turkey pepperoni.
  6. Broil 3–4 minutes more until crispy and golden.
  7. Finish with parmesan, basil, and optional hot honey drizzle.

Sweet Potato Nachos

A lighter spin on nachos with crispy sweet potato “chips” as the base.

Ingredients:

  • 1–2 sweet potatoes, sliced ¼-inch thick
  • 1 cup refried black beans
  • ½ lb ground beef, turkey, or diced chicken
  • Taco seasoning (or make your own with paprika, cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne, salt, pepper)
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese (or cheddar)
  • Optional toppings: diced onion, bell pepper, tomato, jalapeños
  • Hot sauce
  • Optional: cilantro, Greek yogurt, guacamole

Directions:

Top with cilantro, jalapeños, and hot sauce.

Bake sweet potato slices at 425°F for 20 minutes, flip, and bake another 20. (Air fryer works too.)

Layer with beans, meat, cheese, and toppings.

Bake 5 minutes until cheese melts.

Honey Dijon Party Sandwiches

Ingredients:

  • ½ stick butter
  • 3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar (or substitute)
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 12 Hawaiian rolls
  • ¾ lb sliced ham
  • ½ lb sliced Swiss cheese
  • 1 tbsp poppy seeds

Directions:

  1. In a saucepan, melt butter, Worcestershire, brown sugar, and Dijon mustard. Simmer until caramelized.
  2. Preheat oven to 350°F. Pour a few tbsp sauce into a 9×13 dish.
  3. Place bottom halves of rolls, add ham + cheese, then tops.
  4. Drizzle remaining sauce over rolls and sprinkle with poppy seeds.
  5. Bake 15–20 minutes until golden and melty.

Try swapping fillings: turkey + pesto, or meatballs + marinara.

Honey Garlic Chicken Wings

A mix of sweet heat and classic buffalo — the best of both worlds.

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 lbs chicken drummettes
  • Salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne
  • Avocado oil (or preferred cooking oil)
  • 1.5 tbsp red chili paste
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce or coconut aminos
  • 1.5 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1.5 tbsp minced garlic
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • Optional: sweet chili sauce or buffalo sauce

Directions:

Toss again after baking and serve with ranch + veggies.

Preheat oven to 450°F. Toss wings with oil + seasonings. Bake 20 minutes, flipping halfway.

Mix chili garlic sauce in one bowl; buffalo sauce in another.

Toss half the wings in each sauce, return to oven 5 minutes.

Ingredients:

  • 1 box brownie mix (Simple Mills works great)
  • Eggs + oil (per box directions)
  • White icing (store-bought tube or homemade)

Directions:

Done — the easiest Super Bowl dessert.

Bake brownies in muffin tins or a tray.

Once cooled, pipe football laces with icing.
