With baby #2, I didn’t want the fluff. I wanted things that were actually helpful — not just popular.
I reused what worked, ditched what didn’t, and discovered a few game-changers that I genuinely used every day. Not things that sat in the closet. Not things that were “nice to have.” Just stuff that made our days (and nights) smoother.
Here are 5 things I’d buy again in a heartbeat — plus one surprising swap that made life with two under two way more doable.

1. Lalo Hook-On High Chair Attachment
I’ve had the OG Lalo chair since baby #1, but this new seat and tray attachment? Total upgrade.
It holds baby up way better when they’re still small — no slumping or weird posturing — and it’s compact enough that I just pop it on the island while I’m making food. It’s also lightweight and travel-friendly, which makes it great if you’ve got any trips coming up.
It’s one of those things I didn’t realize I was missing until I used it. Highly recommend if you’re in your second-baby minimalism era.

2. Extra Spout for the Formula Pro
If you’re using a Baby Brezza Formula Pro, get the second spout. I’m begging you.
I didn’t realize how annoying it would be to clean that thing every time I made a bottle — especially when you’re juggling snack bottles, cluster feeds, and middle-of-the-night chaos. Having a backup meant I could just swap it out and clean everything later.

3. Bathtub Water Filter
We were dealing with random dry patches and rashes that just wouldn’t quit — until I realized it might be our hard tap water. I added a filter to the tub faucet and it honestly made a big difference.
If your baby has eczema or extra sensitive skin, this is such a simple, affordable fix that’s way less overwhelming than swapping out every soap and cream.

4. 10-Minute Sterilizer (or a Washer/Sterilizer Combo)
I am not doing 90-minute sterilizing cycles anymore. I got a 10-minute countertop sterilizer this time and it made such a difference in how annoying bottles felt. It’s fast, easy, and I don’t have to plan my life around it.
If you really want to make it luxe, get the combo machine that washes and sterilizes in one go. Life-changing.

5. The Bedtime Combo That Helped Him Sleep
I kept things super simple:
✔️ Overnight booster pad in the diaper to keep him dry = fewer wakeups
✔️ Magnesium lotion on the bottoms of his feet before bed = calmer, deeper sleep
It’s not a perfect routine, but I swear these two things helped more than any fancy sleep course ever did.

Honorable Mention: The Wagon
My toddler decided she hated the stroller, and I wasn’t about to fight her on it while also juggling a baby.
The foldable wagon saved us on every walk, park trip, and vacation. It’s easy to load, fun for them to ride in, and way more flexible than trying to force a double stroller situation.
Literally a fraction of the price of others on the market.
